Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Interior Minister Mohsin met separately on Wednesday with national cricket team captains Salman Ali Agha, T20 captain, and Shaheen Shah Afridi, ODI captain.
The sources revealed that Shaheen Shah Afridi briefed the PCB Chairman on strategies for One Day International (ODI) cricket. Despite being unwell, the Chairman discussed several important cricketing matters with both players.
The meeting also included discussions about potential changes in the upcoming ODI series against Bangladesh and preparations for the World Cup.
Salman Ali Agha briefed the Chairman on his performance in the T20 World Cup and submitted a report addressing the team’s poor performance.
PCB announces 15-member squad for ODI against Bangladesh
On the other hand, the Pakistan Cricket Board has announced a 15-member One Day International (ODI) squad for the upcoming series against Bangladesh.
The three-match series will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka from March 11 to 15. Shaheen Shah Afridi will continue to lead the ODI team as captain. The 15-member squad includes:

Babar Azam and Saim Ayub have not been included in the ODI squad.
Sarfaraz Ahmed likely to be appointed as head coach
Meanwhile, it is revealed that former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed is likely to be appointed the head coach of the Pakistan national cricket team’s Test side.
According to sources, the official announcement of Sarfaraz Ahmed’s appointment will be made soon. He is expected to begin his responsibilities during Pakistan’s upcoming Test series against Bangladesh.
The Pakistani team will play a two-match Test series against Bangladesh in May. The series is part of the ICC World Test Championship. The first Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh will begin on May 8, while the second Test will start on May 16.
