Zong becomes fastest network across Pakistan

The most recent Mobile Network Experience Benchmarking Report for the first quarter of 2026, published by OpenSignal, has identified Zong as the leading mobile operator in Pakistan, based on over 1.23 billion real-user measurements gathered across the nation.

The study, powered by Opensignal and including 159 districts, indicates that the average mobile download speed in Pakistan is 18.60 Mbps.

Zong achieved first place nationally in download speed, upload speed, video streaming quality, and Time on Network, establishing it as the most reliable performer.

Jazz secured the second position overall, excelling in speed and video categories in several major cities, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Quetta, and Peshawar.

Ufone has been recognised as Pakistan’s leading gaming network, excelling in multiplayer gaming experiences across various cities.

Telenor recorded the lowest national speeds, with the exception of one statistic where it achieved a 99.69 percent time-on-network score in Gwadar.

Significant urban areas such as Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Faisalabad provided considerably better mobile experiences compared to the northern and frontier regions.

Zong excels in speed across most urban cities

In Islamabad, Jazz excelled in speed, Zong in Network Availability, and Ufone in gaming. Jazz led in speed and video, Ufone dominated gaming, while Zong recorded the highest availability in Rawalpindi.

Ufone again proved to be the best for gaming, while Telenor was rated the lowest.

Zong topped all five benchmarking metrics in the cultural hub of Pakistan, Lahore.

Ufone ranked second in video, gaming, and time, while Jazz placed second in upload and third in video, gaming, and Time on Network.

In Karachi, Zong ranked first in download, upload, and Time on Network, while Jazz claimed the top position for Video.
