Pakistan captain Babar Azam retired hurt after being hit on the finger during the second day of their three-day warm-up match against the PCC Select XI at Kent County Cricket Ground on Friday.
How did Babar Azam get injured?
The injury happened on the last ball of the 39th over. Fast bowler Manny Lumsden bowled a sharp delivery that hit Babar on the finger.
Babar looked in pain after the blow. He dropped his bat and received medical attention before walking off the field. He scored five runs from 17 balls.
This is the second time in a month that Babar has been hit on the hand. He suffered a similar injury during Pakistan’s Test series against the West Indies.
At the time of filing the report, Pakistan had scored 127 runs for two wickets in 44 overs. Abdullah Shafique and Saud Shakeel were batting.
Azan Awais was dismissed for 15 runs from 66 balls. Imam-ul-Haq scored 37 from 71 balls with five fours.

PCC Select XI post 305
Earlier, PCC Select XI captain Tom Haines won the toss and chose to bat first. The hosts scored 305 runs before being bowled out in 69.5 overs.
Pakistan made a strong start with the ball. Mohammad Abbas removed Emilio Gay for a duck and James Rew for four runs. The hosts were 37 for two wickets at that stage.
Haines then helped his team recover. He scored 51 runs from 35 balls with 12 fours before Mohammad Ali dismissed him.
Caleb Falconer and Saif Zaib then added 110 runs for the fourth wicket. Zaib scored 65 from 69 balls with 12 fours. Falconer made 59 from 89 balls with nine boundaries.
The PCC Select XI later fell to 227 for eight. Matthew Fisher then played an attacking innings from No. 10. He remained unbeaten on 62 from 53 balls and helped his team pass the 300-run mark.
Mohammad Ali and Mohammad Abbas took three wickets each for Pakistan. Khurram Shahzad also claimed two wickets while Aamir Jamal and Ali Usman took one each.
