Haval launches all-new H6 GT PHEV in Pakistan

The Haval H6 GT PHEV Pakistan launch has added a sporty new plug-in hybrid SUV to the country’s growing automobile market, with GWM introducing the coupe-style H6 GT with a more aggressive design, advanced technology and stronger performance.

The new Haval H6 GT PHEV combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with two electric motors through GWM’s Hi4 all-wheel-drive hybrid system. The setup is designed to deliver strong performance while offering the efficiency benefits of plug-in hybrid technology.

The SUV features a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by GWM’s Coffee OS 3. The cabin also receives sportier styling, including GT-branded seats and other design elements aimed at giving the vehicle a more performance-oriented character.

The Haval H6 GT PHEV Pakistan model stands apart from the standard H6 PHEV with its coupe-inspired roofline, aggressive front-end styling and red brake calipers. The sloping roof gives the SUV a more dynamic appearance while maintaining the practicality of an SUV.

Performance is another key difference. The H6 GT PHEV produces up to 430 horsepower, compared with 360 horsepower in the standard H6 PHEV. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in around 4.58 seconds, while the regular H6 PHEV takes approximately 4.8 seconds.

The GT also comes with a larger battery pack of around 35 kWh, offering an electric driving range of up to 183 kilometres. In comparison, the standard H6 PHEV uses a 19 kWh battery and provides an electric range of around 100 kilometres.

The H6 GT is positioned as the top and sportier version of the H6 lineup and is already available in markets including Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Brazil and South Africa.

Interest in the Haval H6 GT PHEV Pakistan launch had increased after the model was spotted in the country, fuelling speculation about its local introduction. Sazgar’s COO Ali Hameed had previously indicated that the model was expected to arrive in Pakistan this year.

However, while the latest developments point towards a potential local launch, Sazgar has yet to announce an official launch date or provide complete details about the vehicle’s Pakistani specifications, pricing and availability.

The arrival of the Haval H6 GT PHEV could further strengthen GWM and Sazgar’s presence in Pakistan’s rapidly expanding hybrid and plug-in hybrid SUV segment.
