Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar has said that the administration is responsible for deciding whether PTI founder Imran Khan will be moved to Shifa Hospital.
When will Imran Khan be shifted to Shifa International Hospital?
Journalists asked Tarar if Imran Khan would be shifted to the hospital by midnight today, at 12 AM.
In response, Tarar said that there was still plenty of time before midnight. He said the administration was looking into the matter and was responsible for handling the transfer.
PM, Naqvi hold important meeting
According to sources in this connection, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi also held an important meeting today.
According to the reports, it is likely that Imran Khan will be shifted to the hospital tonight. On August 18, the Supreme Court had ordered Khan to be moved to the hospital within 2 days.
Meanwhile, Federal Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said the government is bound to follow the court’s order regarding Imran Khan’s treatment.
He said that if Imran Khan cannot be treated at a government hospital under the current laws, the government can consider moving him to Shifa Hospital.
Tariq Fazal also said a decision could be made to send Imran Khan abroad for treatment if needed.
He said the government’s review petition before the Supreme Court was filed to seek clarification about the court’s decision.
The minister said the review petition does not mean that the government is refusing to follow the court order. He said the government will fulfil its responsibility according to the court’s directions.

Is Imran Khan out of jail?
Previously, the Supreme Court ordered to move Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital. It also sought his complete medical record.
A three-member bench led by Justice Shahid Waheed heard petitions about meetings with Imran Khan and his treatment.
The Supreme Court ordered that a medical board be formed. It said Imran Khan should be moved to the hospital under strict security. The law and order situation outside the hospital should also not be affected.
In its interim order on the request to move Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital, the court said the hospital should form a board of doctors. Imran Khan’s sister, Dr Uzma and his personal doctor will also be present.
