The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has released the results of the CSS 2026 written examination, with 476 candidates clearing the test.
The successful candidates include 239 men and 237 women, while the overall pass rate stood at 2.74%.
According to the FPSC, 24,321 candidates applied for the CSS examination. Of these, 17,351 appeared in at least one written paper, while 16,342 candidates took all the papers.
The commission conducted the written examination from February 4 to 15, 2026.
The FPSC has uploaded the list of successful candidates on its official website. It will announce the dates for medical examinations, psychological assessments and interviews at a later stage.
The CSS selection process started with the Multiple Choice Questions Preliminary Test (MPT). A total of 63,368 candidates applied for the preliminary test, while 43,189 appeared. The FPSC declared 36,758 candidates eligible for the written examination.
The written test is a key stage of the CSS competitive examination, which candidates take to compete for appointments in Pakistan’s federal civil services.
The candidates who have cleared the written exam will now move to the next stages, including medical examinations, psychological assessments and the viva voce.
