The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has cautioned overseas Pakistanis against sharing their personal information with unauthorised individuals or organisations falsely claiming to represent the authority.
In an advisory, NADRA clarified that it has not authorised any consultants, agents or dealers to process identity documents or submit online applications on its behalf.
The authority said overseas Pakistanis could access its services through NADRA Registration Centres and designated counters operating at Pakistani embassies abroad. Details of these facilities are available on NADRA’s official website.
NADRA further emphasised that its online services are offered exclusively through the Pak ID mobile application and its official websites ending in gov.pk.
The authority urged Pakistanis living abroad to remain vigilant and exercise caution when seeking identity-related services. It warned them against sharing sensitive personal information with individuals or organisations falsely claiming affiliation with NADRA.
The advisory aims to help overseas Pakistanis avoid potential fraud and ensure they use only the authority’s officially recognised channels for identity documentation and online applications.
Forgot your PAK ID password? NADRA shares easy way to reset it
If you have forgotten your Pak ID password or are unable to log in to your account, NADRA has shared a simple way to recover access.
According to NADRA, users who cannot access their Pak ID account because they have forgotten their password can reset it by following a few simple steps.
First, users need to enter their CNIC number on the Pak ID login screen and select the “Forgot Password” option.
They will then be asked to enter an email address. NADRA said that if users do not remember the old email address linked to their account, they can enter their current active email address and select the “Proceed” option.
An OTP (one-time password) will then be sent to the email address provided. Users will need to enter the OTP and complete the biometric verification process according to the instructions provided by NADRA.
Once the biometric verification is completed, users will be able to set a new password for their Pak ID account and log in again.
NADRA has advised citizens to use an active email address to maintain access to their Pak ID accounts and keep their account information secure.
