Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced an immediate reduction in the fare for the flights to Saudi Arabia’s cities of Jeddah and Madinah.
PIA made an immediate cut of $30 (Rs8,300 approximately) in the flight fares.
The airline said the reduced fares would take effect immediately and apply to passengers travelling to either city up till September 30, 2026.
The fare reduction comes as Pakistanis continue to travel to Saudi Arabia for work, family visits and religious purposes.
Meanwhile, Pakistani citizens travelling to or living in Saudi Arabia have been reminded to comply with local laws and immigration regulations.
The Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE) has advised Pakistani nationals not to hand over their passports to employers or sponsors.
A passport is a personal document, and people whose passports have been confiscated have been advised to contact the nearest Pakistani embassy or consulate.
Citizens have also been advised not to remain in Saudi Arabia after their residence permits or visas expire.
They have been warned against working for another person or organisation without the required permission from their sponsor.
The guidelines also advise Pakistanis to avoid unlicensed agents and middlemen, attempting to travel to another country through unauthorised routes, and behaviour that could violate Saudi laws, including harassment or inappropriate conduct towards women.
Authorities have urged Pakistani nationals to familiarise themselves with Saudi Arabia’s laws and regulations and ensure they remain compliant during their stay.
