After losing two consecutive matches in England, Pakistan’s Test side has been given another surprise when Salman Ali Agha who was removed from the Pakistan squad has been called back for a special engagement with King Charles.
Salman was one of seven players who were dropped from the Pakistan squad after the Lord’s Test.
The move came after Pakistan’s Test series against England unravelled; the visitors have lost both Test matches so far, and delivered a series of mediocre performances.
Salman after being released, went to Birmingham to be with his family.
But he has now reportedly been told to rejoin the Pakistan team to come in for a meeting with the King tomorrow.
Some questions have been raised about the players’ release since the development, especially as Salman is now being asked to reappear on the team for an official engagement.

Pakistan’s ongoing Test series has been far from what the team would have hoped for.
The visitors have been under the microscope after losing two games in a row, and have, naturally, not been able to take charge at key moments in either contest.
The changes in the team and a few players getting released seemed to indicate that Pakistan was changing their strategy for the rest of the tour.
But the royal engagement of the team has led to an unusual situation.
The Pakistan player had already departed from the team and gone to Birmingham with his family only to be summoned back.
The incident will raise more questions about the PCB’s approach to player moves while on the international tour and the possibility that any such logistical issues could have been avoided had the players stayed with the team until they finished their official duties.
