Under the supervision of Lahore Deputy Commissioner Captain (retd) Muhammad Ali Ijaz, the district administration is working with police, hospitals and psychologists to provide free and impartial support to affected women.
Through the helpline, women can access rescue services, legal advice, psychological support and referrals to relevant institutions.
Officials will also guide callers about their legal rights, the process of registering an FIR, court proceedings and other legal matters.
The district administration will help affected women access women protection centres, shelter homes, police stations and hospitals where required.
Psychologists will also provide counselling to help women cope with emotional and mental distress caused by difficult situations.
The Punjab government said it was using all available administrative resources to improve women’s safety and provide them with a secure and dignified environment.
