The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced a 15-member squad for the third Test against Pakistan, with England taking a decisive 2-0 lead in the series.
Brydon Carse and Matthew Fisher have been dropped from the England squad, while Sonny Baker has been included in the team. The 15-member squad includes captain Joe Root, Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Sonny Baker, Shoaib Bashir, Harry Brook, Sam Cook, Jordan Cox, Ben Duckett, Emilio Gay, Dan Lawrence, Ollie Pope, Ollie Robinson, Jamie Smith, and Josh Tongue.
The third Test between Pakistan and England will begin on September 9. Pakistan lost the first Test by an innings and 103 runs, while England won the second Test by a convincing 194-run margin.
On the other hand, Pakistan’s cricket team players and officials met King Charles at Clarence House, the historic royal residence in London. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi also attended the meeting, during which the King interacted with members of the national squad and team officials. According to Naqvi, King Charles encouraged the Pakistani players and commended Pakistan’s efforts towards promoting peace.
During the meeting, King Charles also discussed cricket with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and spoke about Pakistan’s efforts to promote peace and security in the country. The British High Commissioner also briefed the King on Pakistan’s role in regional peace efforts, highlighting the contributions of Pakistan and Naqvi in this regard.
