What are the requirements for the UK Skilled Worker Visa?
According to the information released, the basic condition for this visa is that the candidate must have a regular job offer and a ‘Certificate of Sponsorship’ from an employer approved by the UK Home Office.
In addition to this, the chosen profession must be included in the approved list.
Additionally, they should meet the prescribed minimum salary standards and be proficient in the English language.
How long is a Skilled Worker Visa effective?
The Skilled Worker Visa is issued for a maximum of 5 years.
However, it is possible to extend it if eligibility is maintained.
Additionally, an application for permanent residence can be made after completing 5 years.
Is family relocation possible?
Under this visa, spouses and children can also apply to accompany them according to British law.
How to apply?
The visa application process is entirely online. The applications can be submitted up to 3 months before the start of employment.
What is the processing time?
Applicants from outside the UK will usually receive a decision within 3 weeks.
Those from within the UK will receive a decision within 8 weeks.
An expedited service is also available for an additional fee.
What are other rights and restrictions?
This visa allows for legal employment, study, overseas travel and volunteering and paves the way for future permanent residence.
However, this visa does not allow access to most public funds and pensions.
