The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms in most districts of the country, including the federal capital, on Thursday.
According to the PMD, most plain areas of the country are expected to remain hot and humid, while partly cloudy conditions may prevail in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
In Islamabad and surrounding areas, the weather is expected to remain hot and humid during the day, with rain accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms likely in the evening or at night.
Most plain districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to experience hot and humid weather. However, partly cloudy conditions are likely in upper districts during the afternoon, while thunderstorms and rain may occur in Waziristan, Hangu, Kurram, Kohat and adjoining areas.
Most districts of Punjab are also expected to remain hot and humid, while Murree, Galiyat and surrounding areas may receive rain accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms during the afternoon.
Most areas of Sindh are expected to remain hot and humid. Karachi and other coastal areas may experience partly cloudy conditions, with a possibility of drizzle.
Most districts of Balochistan are expected to remain hot and humid, while partly cloudy conditions are likely in coastal areas.
According to the PMD, dry weather with partly cloudy conditions is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
Light rain recorded at some places in the last 24 Hours
The PMD said that most plain areas of the country remained hot and humid during the last 24 hours, while light rain was recorded at a few places in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The highest rainfall, measuring 5 millimetres, was recorded in Babusar, Gilgit-Baltistan.
Meanwhile, the maximum temperature of 43°C was recorded in Nokundi, Dalbandin and Sibi, while temperatures reached 42°C in Noor Pur Thal and Bhakkar.
