Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Azad Kashmir president and former Legislative Assembly speaker Shah Ghulam Qadir has denied a letter circulating on social media in his name, calling it fake and generated using artificial intelligence (AI).
The letter, which has been widely shared on social media, was presented as a “personal and confidential” communication from Qadir to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces.
The alleged letter claimed that Qadir had complained to Asim Munir about a government officer and alleged that a report submitted by the officer had led to his exclusion from the race for the prime minister’s position.
It also claimed that Qadir’s daughter was a housewife and had no association with any non-governmental organisation.
The purported letter further called for an inquiry into the matter, asking that action be taken against Qadir if the allegations were found to be true. It also attributed a statement to him saying that he would consider himself unfit for public politics if the allegations were proven.
However, Qadir has now categorically denied writing the letter, saying that the document circulating in his name is fake and AI-generated.
His clarification has dismissed the authenticity of the letter circulating on social media.
