The examination papers have been secured in steel, sealed trunks, which were taken away under the supervision of the police and the respective Assistant Commissioners. Senior faculty and other staff of the University of Health Sciences (UHS) also departed along with the examination papers.
The examination papers will be secured today in the treasury offices of the respective districts. The MDCAT 2026 examination will be conducted on September 20 under the supervision of the University of Health Sciences.
Vice Chancellor Major General (Retired) Sohail Sabir, Professor Nadia Nasim and Controller of Examinations Dr Muhammad Abbas dispatched the examination staff. Senior faculty members and officers of the University of Health Sciences have been appointed as couriers for conducting the test.
For arrangements and monitoring of the MDCAT, vice chancellors and pro-vice chancellors of medical universities have been appointed as regional in-charges, while principals of medical and dental colleges have been appointed as centre in-charges for arrangements and monitoring.
All officers of the Specialised Healthcare Department will monitor the MDCAT. A control room has also been established at UHS for better coordination during the examination, where moment-by-moment monitoring will be carried out before and during the examination.
A helpline has also been established for continuous contact with the examination centres. The training of supervisory staff will be held at the respective examination centres on Saturday.
The MDCAT examination will be conducted at 31 centres established in 15 cities across the province. More than 49,000 candidates will appear for the MDCAT in Punjab this year.
For MDCAT arrangements, 12 departments in each district have been assigned responsibilities. The respective district administrations, under the leadership of the Deputy Commissioners, will ensure security and the best possible arrangements.
