Security forces have killed four terrorists and injured two others during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan, officials said.
The operation was launched on September 18 following intelligence reports about the presence of a group of six to eight terrorists affiliated with the banned BLA in Killi Siddique Abad, Killi Abad and surrounding areas.
According to the details, seven combat teams were deployed for the operation, while five blocking positions were established as part of the security cordon. Sanitisation activities began at around 9 am on September 19.
At around 1 pm, security forces spotted a group of five to six terrorists near Killi Shahnawaz, triggering an engagement. The terrorists attempted to flee, leading to a three-kilometre pursuit before security forces surrounded and engaged them with small arms.
Four terrorists, including those identified as Dr, Gurk and Sajid, were killed in the operation, while two others sustained injuries. Security forces also recovered four bodies, four sub-machine guns, an RPG launcher, 10 RPG fuses and rounds, two hand grenades and an STOS device with 200 metres of IED wire.
