Non-bailable arrest warrants have been issued for former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur in an audio leak case being heard by the District and Sessions Court in Islamabad.
The court heard the case on Tuesday, but Gandapur and his co-accused did not appear before the court. As a result, the statement of no witness could be recorded during the hearing.
The court issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Gandapur over his absence and adjourned further proceedings until October 17, according to the report.
The case was registered against Gandapur at Golra Police Station in Islamabad.
Gandapur was previously indicted in the audio leak case in February 2026 after appearing before the court. At that hearing, the court cancelled the arrest warrants against him.
Separately, courts had earlier initiated proceedings against Gandapur in two cases related to the Haqeeqi Azadi March. The cases were registered at Bara Kahu Police Station.
