Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has extended the admission deadline for its BS and Associate Degree programs until October 5, 2026.
The decision has been taken to help students following the announcement of Intermediate examination results by educational boards across Pakistan.
Students who recently received their Intermediate results will now have additional time to apply for admission. The extension gives new applicants an opportunity to complete the admission process without missing the current intake.
AIOU’s official website confirms that admissions for the Autumn 2026 semester are currently open. The university is offering both face-to-face and Open Distance Learning (ODL) programs.
BS and Associate Degree programs available
AIOU offers several on campus BS programs in different fields, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Microbiology and Environmental Science.
Other on campus BS options include Biochemistry, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Botany, Health and Physical Education and Data Analytics.
The university also offers two years on campus Associate Degree programs in the available subjects.

How to apply for AIOU admission?
New students can submit their applications through AIOU’s online admission system. The university advises applicants to read the relevant prospectus before completing their application.
The admission portal also provides information about eligibility and first-semester fees for programs offered during Autumn 2026. Guidance is available for creating an account, completing a student profile and downloading the fee challan.
