Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has announced a bonus equivalent to one month’s salary for its employees on Wednesday. The disbursement process for the LESCO employee bonus has already started.
How much LESCO employee bonus will be given?
LESCO’s Board of Directors recently approved a bonus equal to the basic salary. After this, the payment process was started.
A key review meeting was held under the chairmanship of LESCO Chief Executive Officer Engineer Muhammad Ramzan Butt.
During this meeting, directives were issued to make sure of better service delivery to consumers and the prompt resolution of complaints.
During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted regarding ongoing operations against electricity theft, the recovery of outstanding dues, and progress on targets set for the 2026-27 fiscal year.
LESCO CEO also emphasised that the complete eradication of electricity theft and the achievement of recovery targets are the company’s top priorities.
He directed all officers to improve performance in the field and take strict, indiscriminate action against defaulters.
Has LESCO suspended the issuance of green meters?
Previously, LESCO reportedly stopped issuing new bidirectional green meters to solar consumers. This was done due to a shortage of meters.
The limited stock has disrupted the meter issuance process across the LESCO region. Allocations submitted through the ERP code are also facing delays.
Many consumers have already installed solar systems and completed the required process for obtaining bidirectional meters.
They were issued demand notices by LESCO under the net billing policy and deposited the required amounts.
The relevant LESCO offices completed the online processing required for meter issuance after the demand notices were submitted.
The total demand for meters was then collected through different divisions and circles. These requirements were forwarded to LESCO’s Material Management Department for further processing.
However, the shortage of bidirectional meters has now affected the next stage of the process.
