Security forces in Balochistan killed 19 terrorists during operations based on intelligence reports today. They also recovered weapons, ammunition, and explosives, according to theInter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to security forces, intelligence agencies had reported the presence of several hideouts linked to ‘Fitna-al-Khawarij’ and ‘Fitna-al-Hindustan’ in the Shaban area of Quetta district. These were deemed a threat to the local population.
Security forces launched a clearance operation in Shaban on September 21, 2026, to protect the local population and clear the area of terrorists.
During the operation, security forces successfully cleared multiple terrorist hideouts following effective action.
Intense exchanges of fire resulted in the killing of 13 Indian-backed terrorists so far. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered from the cleared hideouts.
Security forces stated that the clearance operation would continue until the threat in the area is completely eliminated.
Security forces operations in Kech and Quetta West districts
On September 22 and 23, security forces also conducted preemptive operations based on intelligence in Kech and Quetta West districts.
Intense firefights with terrorists occurred during these operations, resulting in the deaths of six additional terrorists.
Security forces recovered weapons and ammunition from the terrorists during the operations.
Sub-Inspector Muhammad Jameel embraced martyrdom during the exchange of fire.
The 39-year-old officer hailed from Taunsa Sharif, Dera Ghazi Khan district.
According to security forces, operations against terrorism will continue with full vigour, in line with the vision of ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’ and under the National Action Plan approved by the Federal Apex Committee.
Security forces and law enforcement agencies have expressed their resolve to eliminate foreign-backed terrorism from the country.
Field Marshal Asim Munir holds key meetings with Turkish, Saudi officials: ISPR
Previously, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), held several high-level meetings during his official visit to Türkiye on Monday, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In Istanbul, Field Marshal Asim Munir separately met Saudi Arabia’s Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
