Pakistan Television (PTV) batter Muhammad Shahzad has set a new record for the fastest century in Pakistani first-class cricket, reaching the milestone in just 49 balls during the third round of the President’s Trophy Grade-I.
Shahzad achieved the feat against Kingsmen Academy at the Diamond Cricket Ground in Islamabad, surpassing the previous record of a 56-ball century held by former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq, who reached the milestone against Australia in 2014.
The explosive knock places Shahzad in the record books as one of the fastest century-makers in Pakistan’s first-class cricket history. The right-hander’s explosive innings featured 12 fours and eight sixes as he raced to 114 runs off just 62 balls, maintaining an aggressive approach throughout his stay at the crease.
The century was Shahzad’s sixth in first-class cricket and also ranks as the eighth-fastest century in global first-class cricket history. His remarkable innings has added another landmark to the ongoing President’s Trophy Grade-I and placed Shahzad among the fastest century-makers in the history of first-class cricket.

Shahzad continued his aggressive assault after reaching three figures, finishing with a stunning 114 off 62 balls. His innings was laced with 12 fours and eight sixes, marking his sixth first-class century.
His remarkable knock played a key role in taking Pakistan Television (PTV) to 285-7 in their first innings. Among the other PTV batters, Mohammad Taha contributed 43 off 72 balls, hitting six boundaries, while Yasir Khan scored 13 from 40 deliveries.
