The Pakistan Women’s Under-19 cricket team will face Bangladesh on Friday in the opening match of the tri-nation series in Faisalabad. According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the tri-nation series featuring the Under-19 teams of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will be held in Faisalabad from October 2 to October 16.
Each team will play the other two sides twice during the league stage, with the top two teams qualifying for the final, which will be played on October 16. All matches will begin at 11:00 a.m., with the toss scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Fans in Pakistan will be able to watch the matches live on Tapmad and Tamasha, while the final will also be broadcast live on PTV Sports. Viewers outside Pakistan will be able to watch the matches live on the PCB’s official YouTube channel.
Pakistan Women’s Under-19 captain Fiza Fayyaz said the hosts are determined to make a strong start to the tournament.
She said the team has prepared thoroughly in all three departments batting, bowling and fielding and the players are focused on delivering a strong performance. Fiza added that the team would look to make the most of home conditions and showcase its best cricket throughout the tournament.
Sadia Islam, captain of the Bangladesh Women’s Under-19 team, said playing in Pakistan is a new experience for her side. She praised the facilities available in Pakistan and said Bangladesh is determined to play high-quality cricket throughout the tournament.
Sri Lanka Women’s Under-19 captain Chamodi Prabodha said the series provides a valuable opportunity for young cricketers to represent their country. She highlighted the talent in the Sri Lankan squad and expressed confidence that her team would put up a strong performance in the tournament.
The tri-nation series will provide a valuable platform for young female cricketers to showcase their talent and gain international experience. All three teams will be aiming to perform strongly and secure a place in the final in Faisalabad.
