Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal has taken notice of complaints regarding the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) in Sindh and directed the Ministry of Health to submit an inquiry report within 15 days.

According to the Ministry of Health, the Sindh government, in collaboration with the university that conducted the MDCAT, will investigate the complaints. Questions have been raised over the transparency of the MDCAT examination in Sindh, while numerous complaints have also surfaced on social media.

The ministry said a comparative analysis of results, scores, percentages and pass rates across different examination centres will be conducted. Cases involving unusually high scores or significant disparities in results will also be examined.

The inquiry will review attendance sheets, seating plans, examination centre records and result data. Complaints regarding irregularities, unauthorised assistance, forgery and administrative negligence will also be investigated.

The inquiry will determine responsibility if the examination was compromised due to technical glitches or other irregularities. All relevant records related to the conduct of the examination and the compilation of results will also be reviewed and provided as part of the inquiry.
