Petrol prices in Pakistan may increase while diesel prices could fall over the next 24 hours, according to sources.

Sources said the price of petrol could go up by Rs1.40 per litre, while diesel may become cheaper by 91 paisas per litre.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) is expected to determine the revised prices today. The Petroleum Division will issue an official notification after the new rates are approved.

The possible changes come a day after the government revised petrol and diesel prices.

Following OGRA’s approval, the Petroleum Division issued a notification announcing an increase of Rs1.19 per litre in the price of petrol and a reduction of Rs1.91 per litre in the price of diesel.

Petrol is currently selling at Rs394.83 per litre, while the price of diesel stands at Rs395.85 per litre.

The final prices will be confirmed after OGRA completes the latest price review and the government issues an official notification.
