She is also expected to meet a vice president of Google, focusing on discussions related to digital technology and artificial intelligence.
In addition, the minister will hold talks with a vice president of the World Bank, providing opportunities to discuss cooperation and Pakistan’s growing digital needs.

Pakistan focuses on AI policy and digital growth
Earlier, Shaza Fatima said Pakistan had prepared its national AI policy after detailed discussions with relevant groups.
She said the government’s next priority was to put the policy into practice, while speaking at an event in Islamabad.
She stressed that Pakistan must adopt modern technology to support national progress and development.
However, Pakistan does not yet have a separate regulatory system designed specifically for artificial intelligence.
Several existing policies and rules address some of the risks linked to digital technology. These include the National Cyber Security Policy 2021, Pakistan Cloud First Policy 2022 and CERT Rules 2023.
