The Pakistan Under-19 team has gone to Oman to defend their title at the ACC Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup led by captain Farhan Yousaf.

The national junior team took off from Karachi on Thursday morning to reach the venue of the tournament in Oman. Pakistan will be the defending champion as it has beaten arch-rival India in the final of the 2025 edition by a wide margin.

Pakistan have been allocated to Group A with India, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Nepal. The defending champions will kick off their campaign against the UAE on November 6, with a high-profile face-off with India coming up on November 8.

The team will then play against Nepal in their third and final group stage match on November 10. Pakistan will be playing with a view to putting in a good performance in the group stage to qualify for the semi-finals and secure a berth for the cricket team in the semi-finals.

The tournament is scheduled to have both semi-final games on 12th November and the final game on 14th November. The highest-ranked teams will go head-to-head to win the coveted Under-19 Asia Cup, with Pakistan looking to capitalise on their performance during the last edition.

In 2025, Pakistan won the Under-19 Asia Cup by dominating the Indian side in their final match. The Green Shirts, who were the traditional rivals, defeated India with a massive 191-run effort to lift the trophy, which showed their prowess at the junior level.

The next tournament will be another chance for Pakistan’s youth cricketers to showcase their talent and ability against some of the top emerging cricketing powers in Asia.

Having a difficult group stage ahead of them, Pakistan will be looking forward to continuing their run and protecting the victory they managed to secure last year.
