Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the launch of direct flights between Islamabad and Birmingham from December 1 as part of its efforts to expand flight operations to the United Kingdom.
According to a PIA spokesperson, the airline will initially operate three flights per week on the Islamabad-Birmingham route, with departures scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The spokesperson said the new direct service would provide greater travel convenience for the large Pakistani community living in the northern and central regions of the United Kingdom.
He added that the UK remains an important market for the national carrier, with efforts underway to further strengthen air connectivity between Pakistan and the United Kingdom. The launch of the new route is expected to offer passengers more convenient travel options between Islamabad and Birmingham.
