Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc has reclaimed the top position in the latest ICC Test bowling rankings, replacing South African all-rounder Marco Jansen, who held the number one spot for just a week.

The latest rankings were released following the third Test between South Africa and Australia in Cape Town. Starc took nine wickets in the match despite Australia’s 176-run defeat, which saw them lose the series 2-1. Meanwhile, South African spinner Simon Harmer earned the Player of the Match award after claiming 10 wickets in the game, climbing nine places to seventh in the Test bowling rankings.

In the Test all-rounders’ rankings, Jansen retained the top position, while fellow South African Wiaan Mulder moved up to third and Harmer climbed to fifth. There were also notable changes in the ODI rankings, with Pakistan batter Fakhar Zaman rising nine places to 37th following his match-winning 127-run knock in the final.
