The Pakistan High Commission in London has made an important announcement for Pakistanis residing in the United Kingdom, revealing plans to establish special camps to provide consular services closer to their homes.

According to details, the Pakistan High Commission has announced the establishment of special consular camps under its Community Outreach Programme to facilitate the Pakistani community living in Britain.

The initiative aims to make essential consular services more accessible, allowing Pakistani citizens to obtain assistance in their local areas without travelling to Central London.

The camps are being organised on the instructions of Pakistan’s High Commissioner, Dr Faisal.

Special consular services in Slough

A special consular camp will be established in Slough, where Pakistani citizens will be able to access various services provided by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).

These services will include the issuance and renewal of National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP), along with other NADRA-related facilities.

In addition, assistance will be provided for powers of attorney, document attestation, guidance regarding identity documents, and matters related to the Punjab Land Records Authority.

Free legal consultation in Woking

A separate consular camp will also be organised in Woking, where Pakistani citizens will receive consular services along with free legal consultation.

Legal experts will be available to provide guidance on family disputes, property-related matters, and other civil legal issues.

The initiative is expected to benefit Pakistani expatriates who face difficulties travelling long distances to access consular services.

Special facilities for senior citizens and persons with disabilities

According to the Pakistan High Commission, senior citizens and persons with disabilities will receive special priority during the consular camps to ensure they can access services without unnecessary inconvenience.

The High Commission has also clarified that all prescribed fees for consular services will be collected exclusively through debit or credit cards. Cash payments will not be accepted at the camps.

The Community Outreach Programme is aimed at improving access to essential government services and providing greater convenience to the Pakistani community living across the United Kingdom.
