Pakistan has joined Gaza board of peace under UN resolutions

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar received a phone call from Somalia’s Foreign Minister Abdisalam Abdi Ali on Sunday.

During the conversation, Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s full support for Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and strongly condemned any actions that undermine it.

The Somali foreign minister thanked Pakistan for standing firmly with Somalia and appreciated its continued and consistent support. He also requested Pakistan’s help in raising Somalia’s concerns at the United Nations Security Council.

In response, Ishaq Dar assured him of Pakistan’s full backing at the UN and other international forums.

Earlier, Pakistan, along with 20 other countries and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), strongly condemned Israel’s recognition of the self-declared Republic of Somaliland, calling it a clear and serious violation of international law.

The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Muslim and Arab countries, in a joint statement,  unequivocally rejected Israel’s recognition of the “Somaliland” region of the Federal Republic of Somalia, citing the serious repercussions of such unprecedented measure on peace and security in the Horn of Africa, the Red Sea and its serious effects on international peace and security as a whole, which they said also reflected Israel’s full and blatant disregard to international law. 

The joint statement was shared by the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pakistan with media on Sunday.
