Following a reduction in fuel prices the provincial government, after one week, has issued a new transport fares schedule.
According to the Peshawar Transport Department, a 50 percent fare concession for students and special persons will continue.
For the passenger of aged over 60 years it has been decided to maintain a 50 percent discount.
According to transport department’s new fares schedule, fare from Peshawar to Kohat on flying coaches and minibuses has been set at Rs177, while the fare from Peshawar to Bannu will be Rs530.
The fare from Peshawar to Dera Ismail Khan on flying coaches and minibuses has been fixed at Rs870 and fares from Peshawar to Haripur will be Rs424, to Abbottabad Rs530, to Mardan Rs158, to Swat Rs468, and to Chitral Rs993.
Earlier, it was reported that the federal government slashed petrol prices by Rs10.28 per litre for the next two weeks.

The price of petrol has been reduced by Rs10.28 per litre.
After this reduction, petrol has become relatively cheaper for consumers.
This is expected to reduce daily transportation and personal consumption expenses.
Similarly, a reduction of Rs8.57 per litre in the price of diesel also announced.
