Highlighting Pakistan’s rich culture Islamabad has launched first ever virtual journey showcasing the ancient Gandhara civilisation.
Pakistan is home to some of the world’s oldest civilisations, including Gandhara, Mohenjo-daro, Harappa, and Kot Diji.
The government is working to preserve this ancient civilisational identity for future generations, efforts that have also been acknowledged by international media. The newly launched gallery presents Gandhara history through artificial intelligence, 3D technology, and a fully immersive virtual environment.
Developed through collaboration between the Korea Heritage Agency, the Department of Archaeology Pakistan, and the National Heritage and Culture Division, the gallery allows visitors to feel as if they have entered the virtual era of Gandhara upon arrival.
The initiative will benefit visitors and students for a better understanding and exploration of the Gandhara civilisation through modern technology.
