The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) has announced the dates for matric and intermediate exams in Punjab.

As per details, the BISE Faisalabad has released the complete schedule for Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and intermediate exams in 2026.

The BISE officials stated that the annual matriculation examination for matric part 1 will begin on April 14, 2026 whereas part 2 will kick off from March 27, 2026.

On the other hand, the Intermediate first year exams will start from May 24, 2026 and the 2nd year exams will take place on May 5, 2026.

BSEK SSC 2026 exam form submission

Earlier, the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) announced the schedule for submission of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination forms for the 2026 annual and supplementary exams.

As per the official notification, students who appeared in the SSC part II exams in the previous year, 2025, and failed can apply for the SSC part I annual exams that are scheduled for the ongoing year, 2026.

Additionally, both regular and private candidates will be accepted. This will be according to a specified schedule that also covers normal and late fee categories.

Normal fee

Examination forms can be received from January 6 to January 30.

Late fee

In case of late submission, the fee will also be added. Depending upon the submission dates, these charges can be anywhere between Rs 200 and Rs 1,800.

Regular science and general group candidates are required to submit their examination forms online through the official website.

The notification further clarified that students studying in government schools under the science and general groups are exempt from examination fees in line with Sindh government policy.

Uniform examination syllabus

Previously, Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah announced the implementation of a uniform examination syllabus (UES) for all education boards across the province for the first time in Sindh.

This marks the first time that classes 9 and 10 will be assessed under a common framework.
