KP govt warns against fake news over PMS test results

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission (KPPSC) has issued a notice against fake news spreading online about the PMS screening test results.

The commission has said that fake notifications are being circulated online about the implementation of negative marking.

Possible revision in results is also being shared on social media.

Now, the KPPSC has announced that the results revealed on the official website have not changed and no revisions have been carried out.

Candidates have also been advised to seek the official KPPSC website for authentic details such as updates.

They have been requested to be aware of false claims on social media.

The PMS Officers Screening Test was recently held on June 4.

The screening test is an initial multiple choice question (MCQ) exam that is conducted by the KPPSC to select candidates for the competitive written exam.

It covers many subjects such as English, Science, Pakistan Affairs, Islamiat, General Math and Current Affairs.

The PMS Screening test has a minimum score of 40% to qualify and become eligible for the written exam.

KP govt approves FY2026-27 budget

Earlier, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly passed the FY2026–27 budget by a majority vote.

In the background, opposition lawmakers carried out noisy protests during the session.

During the budget session, Provincial Minister for Law and Finance, Aftab Alam, along with ministers from various departments, presented separate motions seeking approval for a total of 66 demands for grants.

All the demands were approved by the house through a majority vote.

While approving amendments to the Annual Development Programme, the KP Assembly also approved an allocation of Rs627.9 million for its operational expenses.
