The timely action of the Pakistan Army has saved several lives after a passenger coach met with an accident near Koragh on the riverbank while travelling from Peshawar to Torkho in Chitral.

The timely action of the Pakistan Army has saved several lives after a passenger coach met with an accident near Koragh on the river bank while travelling from Peshawar to Torkho in Chitral.

The coach was carrying 13 passengers when it skidded off the road and crashed near the river. As a result of the accident, two passengers lost their lives, while several others sustained injuries.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the local unit of the Pakistan Army immediately launched a rescue operation despite harsh weather conditions and difficult terrain. Rescue teams swiftly reached the site and evacuated the injured to safer locations, where first aid was administered on the spot.

The injured passengers were later shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Boni for further medical treatment. Meanwhile, the remaining passengers were moved to a secure location. The army personnel provided them with warm clothing and refreshments, including tea, to protect them from the cold weather.

Local residents and passengers expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Army for its prompt response and effective rescue efforts, which helped prevent further loss of life.
