ISLAMABAD: Director General Inter Services Intelligence (DG ISI) Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim Malik will continue to serve on his post.
According to security sources, Lt Gen Muhammad Asim Malik will continue to serve in his current role as Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence (DG ISI).
Asim Malik was appointed as DG ISI in September 2024. He is also serving concurrently as the National Security Adviser (NSA).
Before his current assignments, Lt Gen Malik served for three years at the General Headquarters (GHQ) as Adjutant General. He has also commanded a division and a brigade in Balochistan and South Waziristan.
Lt Gen Asim Malik is regarded as one of the distinguished officers of the Pakistan Army and has been awarded the Sword of Honour. He has also served as an instructor at the National Defence University and the Command and Staff College, Quetta.
