Bara Political Alliance seeks probe of political interference in Tirah

An important jirga of the Bara Political Alliance has concluded on the Tirah issue.

The jirga strongly criticised the provincial government for its poor administration in Tirah.

Members of the jirga condemned corruption and political interference in the distribution of four billion rupees among the affected families.

The jirga members paid tribute to the security forces for their efforts in maintaining peace.

The Bara Political Alliance expressed full solidarity, sympathy, and support for all affected families who migrated from Tirah.

“We held two jirgas with the extremists, after which we handed over the responsibility of the jirga to the provincial government and the elders of Tirah, but both jirgas failed,” said former Chairman Haji Shireen Afridi.

The Bara Political Alliance demanded the immediate implementation of the unanimously agreed-upon resolutions.

Full peace should be restored in Tirah immediately, and clear guarantees for sustainable peace in the future must be provided.

The Bara Political Alliance called for an immediate end to actions by the extremists.
