Trump threatens to sue Trevor Noah over Epstein joke at the Grammys

The United States (US) President Donald Trump has threatened to sue comedian and show host Trevor Noah over a joke he made at the Grammys about Trump’s association with convicted child trafficker, Jeffrey Epstein.

During the 2026 Grammys, Trevor Noah said, “Song of the Year – that is a Grammy that every artist wants almost as much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense because Epstein’s island is gone, he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton.”

The US justice department has previously confirmed that allegations against Donald Trump are false. In response to the accusations, a spokesperson for Bill Clinton also claimed that he had never been to the Epstein Island.

Trump response

In a post on Truth Social, Trump responded to Trevor Noah’s remarks at the Grammys, saying that he was wrong about him going to the private island, stating that he had never been there and called his statement defamatory and false. He also said that he had never been accused of going to the island even by the ‘Fake News Media’.

In his closing remarks, the US President said, “Get ready Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you!”

Following the statement, he warned Trevor Noah to get his facts straight and that he is sending lawyers to sue.

Trevor Noah is a South African comedian who has hosted The Daily Show on Comedy Central for seven years. The comedian is known for his controversial political opinions and social activism.
