In a press conference today, Mohsin Naqvistated that PTI has been spreading unnecessary propaganda regarding the health and treatment of Imran Khan, especially regarding the condition of Imran Khan’s eye.
He also stated that PTI was spreading propaganda that the entire eye of Imran Khan had been damaged.
He further added,” We were in contact with the PTI leadership. The Speaker was facilitating communication between us and the opposition.
We suggested that they provide the name of a non-political doctor so we could have him examined, but they refused and insisted that we take a family member along, which we agreed to.
Then they said, Admit Imran Khan to the hospital for a week, otherwise we won’t accept anything”
He further responded to the allegations of taking political revenge from Imran Khan, he said that if we wanted to take political revenge, we would have already tightened him.
Moshin Naqvi also reiterated that all prisoners will be treated according to the law and no compromise will be made on the treatment of any prisoner.
He also revealed that Sardar Ayaz Sadiq was also in contact with PTI leadership regarding the treatment.
He also revealed that Barrister Gohar was called to Adiala Jail to supervise the check-up. However, after waiting for one and a half hours, Barrister Gohar did not arrive.
According to Mohsin Naqvi, both Barrister Gohar and the Leader of the Opposition were fully briefed.
The Interior Minister also said that three important personalities were satisfied with the treatment Imran Khan received.
The check up of Imran Khan was done with both private medical specialists and government-choosen doctors.
Lastly he added thta on the direction of Aleema Khan poliics was done over the health of Imran Khan.
