The Government of Sindh has issued an official schedule for the revised office hours for the Holy month of Ramzan 2026 with an aim to facilitate the employees to celebrate the month of fasting.
According to a notification approved by the Chief Secretary all the government offices in the province will from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm from Monday to Thursday.
On Fridays offices will close earlier operating from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm in order for staff members to concentrate on religious obligations during the sacred month.
The new timings will apply to all provincial departments, autonomous institutions and private organisations and local councils who work under administrative jurisdiction of Sindh.
Authorities have issued instructions to heads of departments and administrative officers to ensure strict compliance with the revised schedule for uninterrupted provision of necessary social services to the people during Ramzan.
Earlier, the authorities had declared the official working hours for passport applications and delivery services in Regional Passport Offices (RPOs), Executive Passport Offices (EPOs) and Passport Processing Counters (PPCs) for the holy month of Ramzan 2026.
The schedule is for all offices with the exception of RPO G-10/4 Islamabad, RPO Garden Town Lahore, RPO Awami Markaz Karachi and NADRA Mega Centers.
According to the schedule that has been notified, the timings of public dealing and issuance of tokens from Monday to Thursday shall be from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and the office timings shall be between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.
On Fridays, the public dealing and token issuing will be held from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm. However office timings would continue between 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
A prayer will be held from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm every day.
