Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has issued a new gas supply schedule for the holy month of Ramzan.
In order to provide relief to the consumers during Ramzan, gas will be available in Lahore and other cities of Punjab from 3 am to 10:30 pm daily.
According to the company’s spokesperson, the demand for gas increases significantly during the Sehri and Iftar times during Ramzan, in view of which the supply system has been reorganised to provide maximum convenience to consumers.
The spokesperson said that the new schedule will be implemented immediately and its strict implementation will be ensured.
SNGPL Managing Director Aamir Tufail said that the company has decided that gas supply will not be limited to specific cooking hours only, but every effort will be made to ensure uninterrupted supply during the announced period.
He said that reducing the difficulties faced by consumers during the holy month of Ramzan is the company’s top priority.
According to the spokesperson, if there is a complaint of low gas pressure or interruption in supply in any area, consumers can immediately contact the helpline number 1199 and register their complaint.
Special teams have been formed to redress the complaints, which will take immediate action on the requests received.
Company officials further said that the cooperation of consumers is also essential for balanced use of gas and prevention of waste so that uninterrupted facilities can be provided to everyone during Ramadan.
