The Razman’s moon was sighted in Pakistan on Wednesday, and the first day of the Holy month will be observed on Thursday, February 19.
The meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was held in Peshawar under the chairmanship of Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad to sight the moon of the Holy month of Razman.
Simultaneously, meetings of zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees were held in various cities across the country, including Lahore. The Lahore meeting was chaired by Director General Auqaf and Religious Affairs, Shahid Hassan Kalyani.
According to the Meteorological Department, the moon is approximately 25 hours old at sunset, creating a strong possibility of it being sighted. However, officials noted that cloudy weather in Lahore and its surrounding areas may reduce the chances of visibility in the region.
