How many security personnel will perform duties in Sindh during Razman?

The government of Sindh has finalized security plan for the Holy month of Razman for the entire Sindh, including Karachi.

According to IG Sindh Javed Odho, 59,753 officers and personnel will perform various security duties across the province.

A total of more than 54,237 police officers and personnel will be deployed at 329 open spaces, 7,939 mosques, 664 Imambargahs and 1,344 Shabina Gahs to provide complete security to the public.

Personnel to be deployed in markets

5,407 officers and personnel will be permanently deployed in markets and bazaars to keep the public safe from all kinds of dangers during shopping. 17,780 additional officers and personnel will be deployed for the security of Friday prayers during Ramadan.

17,996 additional officers and soldiers will be deployed on Shab-e-Qadr, 23,104 on Friday, 18,719 on the procession of Youm Ali and 15,265 on the gatherings held on the occasion of Youm Ali.

The Sindh IG has appealed to the public to participate in worship and processions in accordance with Sharia and law, with the cooperation of the police so that peace and order are maintained during the holy month of Ramadan.

Under this plan, modern surveillance systems and mobile warning teams will also be active to monitor every important place and public gathering so that any emergency situation can be addressed in a timely manner.

Razman moon sighted in Pakistan

The Razman’s moon was sighted in Pakistan on Wednesday, and the first day of the Holy month will be observed on Thursday, February 19.

The meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was held in Peshawar under the chairmanship of Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad to sight the moon of the Holy month of Razman.

Simultaneously, meetings of zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees were held in various cities across the country, including Lahore. The Lahore meeting was chaired by Director General Auqaf and Religious Affairs, Shahid Hassan Kalyani.

According to the Meteorological Department, the moon is approximately 25 hours old at sunset, creating a strong possibility of it being sighted. However, officials noted that cloudy weather in Lahore and its surrounding areas may reduce the chances of visibility in the region.
