Waseem Badami pays tribute to Umer Shah on Ramadan special

Waseem Badami has been the long-time host of ARY Digital’s Ramadan transmission, Shan e Ramadan. This transmission has been a staple on the channel for more than a decade, supported by a dedicated team that manages various segments.

The Shah brothers have also been integral to this celebration. Tragically, Umer Shah passed away last year, which came as a shock to the nation.

He shared a close bond with Waseem Badami. Umer Shah, a popular Pakistani child star, was recognized for his performances alongside his elder brother, Ahmed Shah, on Shan-e-Ramadan and Jeeto Pakistan.

Umer was the younger sibling of Ahmad and was celebrated as one of the renowned Pakistani child stars.

He rose to prominence as a social media influencer and television personality, captivating audiences with his content, much like his elder brother, Ahmad.

Waseem Badami remembers Ramadan specials with Umer Shah

Umer Shah participated in every Ramadan transmission. He was doing well but had a slight illness. Tragically, he developed a lung infection and passed away in his sleep.

The moment the tragedy struck, everyone was in tears, and Waseem Badami is now commemorating the young one on the first day of Shan e Ramadan 2026.

Waseem Badami broke down in tears as he presented some old clips featuring Umer Shah. He expressed that Umer will forever remain in our hearts, emphasising that this is a significant loss.

As the child grew up in front of him, he also experienced the loss of a personal connection, which was evident in his tears.
