Funerals Held for Soldiers Martyred in Aggression Committed by Afghan Regime

Web desk: The funeral prayers for twelve soldiers of the Pakistan Armed Forces were offered with full military honours at the Chaklala Garrison in Rawalpindi on Monday, as per an official statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The soldiers were martyred while defending the motherland against the unprovoked and cowardly aggression committed by the Afghan Regime on the night of 11/12 October 2025.

The funeral was attended by a high-level gathering, including Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, federal ministers, the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), and a large number of senior civil and military officials, as well as citizens.

The incident was described by officials as an “unprovoked and cowardly aggression” by the Afghan Taliban regime.

This recent showcase of aggression has escalated tensions between the two neighbouring countries.

In a strongly-worded address at the ceremony, the Defence Minister paid tribute to the fallen soldiers, stating, “People of Pakistan are indebted to the ultimate sacrifice of these heroes who laid down their lives while defending the territorial integrity of Pakistan against the cowardly and treacherous aggression of the Taliban Regime and Indian sponsored terrorist proxies operating from inside Afghan soil”.

He further added that “Armed Forces of Pakistan remain resolute to thwart any aggression and conspiracy against Pakistan with full support of the nation.”
