Karachi: Police arrest two robbers in injured condition, weapons recovered

Two individuals suspected of robbery were arrested in a state of injury, and firearms were seized during police confrontations in various locations within Shahr-e-Quaid in Karachi.

One of the robbers was taken into custody in an injured state following an alleged encounter on Lyari Eidu Line Street No. 1, which falls under the jurisdiction of Baghdadi Police Station.

The suspect was transported to Civil Hospital Karachi for medical care, where he was identified as Sajid Ali, also known as Atif.

Additionally, the police recovered weapons from the robber’s possession.

In a separate operation, the Gulbahar police of Karachi detained another injured robber following an alleged encounter near Haji Mureed Goth along the Lyari Expressway.

The injured suspect was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment, where he was identified as Aamir Ayub.

The police confirmed that firearms were also recovered from this individual.

Ringleader of robbery gang arrested in Karachi

Earlier on Saturday, the Pirabad police apprehended three suspected robbers, including the leader of a dacoit gang, following an alleged encounter in the Qasba Colony area of Karachi.

According to the Karachi police, the robbers were captured in an injured state near Ali Ground in Qasba Colony after an exchange of gunfire.

The injured individuals were transported to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital via a Chhipa ambulance.

A spokesperson for the district SSP stated that the arrested individuals were identified as 32-year-old Amir Bakhsh, also known as Badshah, son of Manzoor 27-year-old Najeebullah, son of Qalandar and 40-year-old Farooq, son of Abbas.

Authorities reported the recovery of a mini rifle, two pistols with ammunition, narcotics including ice and hashish valued at millions of rupees, mobile phones, and cash from their possession.

The police stated that the suspects fired shots in an attempt to flee, which led to a retaliatory response.

During the confrontation, three bullets struck a police vehicle, while four other armed accomplices managed to escape while firing.
