The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has launched a new Faculty Exchange Program to create new international teaching and research opportunities for university teachers across Pakistan.

Under this initiative, Pakistani teachers will be able to teach and conduct research at leading universities abroad. At the same time, foreign faculty members from technologically advanced countries will visit Pakistan to teach at local universities, helping strengthen academic collaboration and global engagement.

According to HEC, international professors participating in the programme will teach at Pakistani institutions for two to sixteen weeks. During this period, students will gain valuable exposure to global academic standards, innovative teaching methods, and international research practices.

The exchange programme will also introduce modern and updated courses at the undergraduate, master’s, and PhD levels, aiming to enhance curriculum quality and promote joint research initiatives. By encouraging knowledge sharing between local and international scholars, the initiative seeks to raise overall academic standards across Pakistan’s higher education sector.

HEC stated that the programme is part of its broader strategy to internationalise Pakistani universities and equip faculty and students with world-class learning experiences. The commission believes that such collaborations will improve research output, academic networking, and institutional development nationwide.

Interested faculty members are encouraged to apply through the official HEC channels and take advantage of this opportunity to expand their professional horizons.
