Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information Ataullah Tarar has said that Pakistan has not targeted any civilian areas inside Afghanistan and clarified that the operations are focused solely on facilities and systems linked to terrorist groups.
Speaking to foreign publications the minister said the actions are being conducted on the basis of accurate intelligence and are specifically aimed at terrorist infrastructure and support networks. He said that Pakistan is carrying out operations against militant hideouts in Afghanistan based on credible intelligence reports.
The information minister also dismissed the figures presented by the Afghan Taliban government saying the numbers were imaginary and not worthy of serious comment.
He further rejected the claims made by the spokesperson of the Afghan Ministry of Defense regarding their successes stating that those assertions were incorrect and merely propaganda.

Attaullah Tarar, spoke earlier that Terrorists are trained in Afghanistan, Atta Tarar said. He further added that the nexus between the terrorists and the Afghan Taliban regime has been made as clear as daylight.
The Afghan Taliban regime is based on a system of repression and perversion of religion, Atta Tarar further said. He shed light on the oppression of Afghan women under this regime.
The Information Minister said that the citizens of Afghanistan are deprived of basic rights. He added that the situation of human freedoms there is alarming.
Atta Tarar said that the aggression carried out by the Afghan Taliban was responded to effectively by Pakistan.
He said that the recent terrorist acts in Pakistan used Afghan soil, which is a major threat to regional peace.
The Information Minister expressed his determination that Pakistan will not compromise on its national security, and effective measures against terrorism will continue.
The Information Minister said that citizens of Afghanistan are deprived of basic rights, and the situation of human freedoms there is worrying.
He revealed that Afghan nationals were involved in the attacks in Islamabad’s Kacheri and Tarlai areas, which raises serious security concerns.
