Hajj flight plan under review amid Middle East tension

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has expressed concern that the Hajj flight schedule could be affected due to the tense situation in the Middle East.

Officials said the current Hajj flight plan is under review and may be adjusted depending on airspace availability and ongoing war conditions in the region, according to media reports.

The ministry added that, anticipating a possible delay in flights, the process of issuing visas to pilgrims has already begun. So far, nearly two-thirds of the pilgrims have received their visas.

Authorities said further updates regarding the Hajj schedule will be shared with pilgrims as the situation develops.

It is worth mentioning here that the Hajj flights will depart from Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot and Multan. Pilgrims will be informed about their respective flight details next week.

Around 119,000 pilgrims to travel to Saudi Arabia under govt Hajj scheme

Officials said that around 119,000 pilgrims will travel to Saudi Arabia under the government Hajj scheme this year. Among them, 67,230 male pilgrims will perform the pilgrimage.

The ministry said arrangements for the Hajj operation are being finalised, and further details will be shared with pilgrims in the coming days

Meanwhile, preparations for the Hajj schedule by the ministry are also in full swing. The schedule includes arrangements for flight operations, building bookings, room allocations and other logistical matters.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has completed the first phase of training for Hajj pilgrims under the government scheme.

In this comprehensive training program, pilgrims were given practical guidance on all stages of the journey from their departure from Pakistan, the performance of Hajj rituals, to their return so that they do not face any difficulties while performing Hajj.
