FPSC announces SOPE examination 2026 schedule

The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced the examination schedule for 30 vacant posts of Section Officers in the Office Management Group (OMG) under the Section Officers Promotional Examination (SOPE) 2026.

Written examination to be held in July

According to the commission, the written examination will begin on July 22, 2026. The recruitment process will be conducted in three stages, including a written examination, psychological assessment, and interview.

Written examination will carry total of 650 marks

FPSC stated that the written examination will carry a total of 650 marks, including 450 marks for compulsory subjects and 200 marks for optional subjects. The interview will carry 200 marks.

Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for a psychological assessment and an interview. The eligibility criteria include.

The candidate must possess at least a second division Bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognised institution. The candidate must be at least 30 years of age.

A minimum of 8 years of government service in BPS-11 to BPS-16 is required. According to FPSC, employees of provincial governments, as well as the governments of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, are not eligible to apply.

Employees of the Election Commission, the Federal Sharia Court, and semi-government or autonomous institutions are also not eligible to appear in the examination. Candidates can submit their applications online until March 28, 2026.
